Bio: June Moone, expert on ancient languages, got her Ph.D in Archaeology at just 19 years old. She was a splendid artist, and often combined her art and her studies. She was born in National City, but moved to Midway City when she started working in Midway City Museum.
Almost as soon as she'd moved to Midway, she joined an expedition to Southeastern Mexico in search of a long lost Mayan city, believed to have once been a capital in the Mayan civilization. However, the expedition didn't quite go as planned. When the group had reached the location of the presumed city, a thick fog rolled in. June got lost, and when trying to find the rest of the group, she stumbled upon an old temple ruin. Her curiosity took hold and she decided to go for a closer look. Unfortunately, the temple was half buried - and fragile - so when June got close, the ground beneath her collapsed, sending June falling into a deep pit.
At the bottom of the pit was what looked like a tomb, or graveyard. Skulls of all manner of creatures decorated the walls, and in the back of the room was a small altar. An altar with two clay figurines on. June felt a pull from one of the figures, she heard a voice calling her name from within the figure and in her naivety she broke the head off of the figure and released an ancient spirit of great evil. The Enchantress.
After days trapped in the tomb, possessed by an ancient spirit, she was finally rescued and brought to the surface. When the rescuers found her she was delirious and on the precipice of madness. Her clothes were ripped, her face covered in mud-drawn symbols, and she rambled in a language no one could understand. The incident soon drew the attention of government official Amanda Waller, a powerful woman with an interest in metahumans and alike. She later Approached June, promising to help her. But it would not be the end of Junes misery~
